好友 Cindy 結婚了。今天對我來說是個令我欣喜、激動，卻又摻雜著些許落寞的日子。 Cindy 是我在西雅圖婚前最親密的朋友。雖然她的年齡比我大一些，我們卻因為一些相似的背景和經歷而在幾年前認識後成為無話不說的好友。只是我結婚生子以後，我們就沒有辦法像單身的時候一樣能夠在星期天的下午一起在咖啡屋裡耗上好幾個小時，或是在失落的時候隨時打電話跟對方談心事了。 這或許就是婚姻生活的帶來的副產品之一吧! 每天奔波於家庭與孩子之後，和好友見面變得需要事前刻意的安排，即使見了面，相處的時間也越來越短。 原本今天是我一直期待的一天，只是因為 Cindy 的夫婿住在美東的關係，我們以後見面的機會就更少了，心裡真的好捨不得。我只好自我安慰地告訴自己，來了美國這麼久都從來沒去過東部，現在有了好友 Cindy 在那裡，總算有個理由和聶先生出趟遠門，順便到紐約度個小假呢!
